For the past two years, producing a holiday film has been one of our most exciting projects. We’d start brainstorming ideas in September, shoot in November and spend December furiously editing. We were really proud of our 2010 and 2011 holiday cards (check out “Most Wanted” here and “Fairytale” here) . Well, I was proud, what with being a frustrated actress and loving any excuse to dress up. Tom was mortified that I made him put on weird costumes and be in front of the camera. But I know he was proud underneath it.
But this year, we were a little distracted by all our other exciting projects. We had some inspired ideas for the holiday film, but we kind of ran out of time to make them come to fruition. We hated to scrap the holiday card completely, so we decided to make something a little less ambitious than usual, but a lot more true to reality.
So with that cavalcade of caveats and excuses, we present Suspiciously Silent Night: Long Haul Films 2012 Holiday Film. In exciting news, this year marks the holiday film acting debut of our two amazing Long Haul team members, Megan Lovallo and Mia Malchow. Of all the great stuff that has happened to us this year, having these two join Long Haul Films is top of the list. We’re also proud to introduce Pedro the Cat, with a cameo role as The Nognapper. Enjoy and happy holidays!
The song is Silent Night by Katie Herzig licensed through The Music Bed.
